Express Entry-who this program is for?
Express Entry is an electronic system that allows Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage applications for Permanent Residence in federal economic immigration categories:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - with 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada
- Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)
- Some Provincial Nominee Programs
Most Express Entry applications are being processed within record 6 months or less after receiving your complete application.
- To register in the Express Entry, you must meet the eligibility requirements.
- For receiving an Invitation to Apply for PR, you should get a certain, usually high, Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
You get higher CRS score if you:

In the younger age group.

Completed a university degree (bachelor, master’s, PhD).

Have several years of skilled work experience overseas.

Score CLB 7 or higher in English or French, or both. The higher, the better.

Accumulated at least 1 year of Canadian skilled work experience.

Have an LMIA-supported job offer.

Completed education in Canada.
8
Your spouse has a degree, good knowledge of English/French, skilled work experience in Canada.
